Today is the 4th of July. The day of ‘freedom and independence’ in the United States…

At least, that’s the idea we’ve been sold.

The truth is…many people in this country think they’re free…and ‘celebrate’ this freedom today, by getting intoxicated, eating excessively and shooting fire into the sky…perhaps to forget about the fact that on every other day, they actually feel like slaves.

Slaves to their jobs. Slaves to the debt they owe. Slaves to the bills they need to pay. Slaves to money.

Interestingly enough, the pursuit of ‘financial freedom’ is the very thing that also keeps us trapped and enslaved.

Regardless of how much money you make, if your focus is frequently on money, you are robbing your life of true emotional freedom…the freedom to experience the fullness of life…with peace of mind, rich relationships and love in your heart.

I’ve lived with high expenses…and I’ve lived with low expenses.

And I can honestly say…I’ve always felt so much more free with minimal expenses.

To the point where I realize that the only way anyone can truly feel free and enjoy life on Earth…is to break away from trading their lives for money…by minimizing their monthly expenses.

You might wonder how to start going about decreasing your monthly expenses…

My suggestion is to start with the Big 3 monthly expenses…

Housing, Energy and Food

The truth is, due to the advancement of technology, all of these ‘monthly expenses’ can very quickly be FREE for you every month, no longer requiring a monthly drain of your time & energy.

Here are some ideas on how you can cross the Big 3 off your list of monthly expenses…

1) Housing – Decide where you’d most love to live. Sell your home and/or buy a smaller (or mobile) home that you pay for upfront in cash. Living exactly where you want to live…with no more mortgage, no more interest, no more debt. How does it get any better than that? 😉

2) Energy – Invest in solar panels for your home. Right now, solar is cheaper than it’s ever been and the state incentives are higher than they’ve ever been. Solar systems that used to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars now cost a few thousand dollars. Once solar is up on your roof, you will be generating free electricity for the lifespan of the solar panels (typically 25-50 years).

3) Food – Learn about how easy it is to switch to a diet of foods you can grow. Create a shopping list of all the plant-based foods you’d ever need…buy seeds for them all…and start growing a food garden. You can slowly make the transition into a totally free, plant-based diet.

By making 1 or all of these simple shifts, you are positioning yourself to break away from the money system and needing to slave away for the rest of your life, just to provide these basic needs.

Before you know it, you’ll be experiencing the emotional freedom possible in this lifetime, by being able to focus your energy on the things that truly matter to you.

I hope this post was enlightening for you. This is just scratching the surface…and giving you a glimpse into what’s possible for you, me and the planet, if we choose to begin acting upon these strategies.
